History of Assusoft
In the year 2000, a tailor-made software solution was created for the HR department of the Belga news agency, a medium-sized company. The goal: simpler and more qualitative communication to insurers.
For this, a software was made that made optimal use of the data from the payroll and/or ERP package, to avoid double encoding. The idea soon gained a lot of interest on the Belgian insurance market, which led to an intensive and long-term collaborations with insurers. This enabled us to offer employers a solution that was supported by the various insurance companies.
Since the start-up in 2001, the evolution of our software has continued. For example, in 2008 a new version was developed for the cloud: e-Assusoft. This online version allowed us to act even more flexible regarding support and upgrades. In addition, the steady growth is supported by a team of about 20 specialized, highly skilled employees. The diverse background of our employees creates a complementarity that greatly strengthens the foundation of our company.
The Assusoft application has gradually become a reference product on the insurance market, with more than 400 customers. Several of our current customers (Belga, Recticel, Atlas Copco, …) have been working with us from the very beginning.

The GDPR regulates the use of PII, or Personally Identifiable Information. This is an umbrella term for all data that can be used separately or in combination with other data to identify, contact, or determine the location of an individual.
For Assusoft as a data processor, data protection has always been a priority and our way of working is fully GDPR compliant.
Concretely, this means that all data processed by Assusoft is secured, both during storage and during transport. Access to this data is provided to interested parties on a need-to-know basis. Furthermore, our data is only transported and stored within the EU.
